December 2008 Holiday Gift Guide

Putting together this gift guide was an amazing experience. The research assistant and I worked in together to pull amazing fashion and lifestyle pieces from all over Philadelphia. We also worked on set with our Art Director and photographer to style each page. It is definitely better than those gift guides with only high-resolution images!

Not the prettiest section of our magazine but we always tried to give our advertisers some love. 

Published as an intern

When I was hired as an intern for Philadelphia Style magazine I had perfect timing. The fashion editor was let go after my first week and I knew it was my chance to step up to the plate and prove that I could work really hard. That summer I had so many amazing opportunities to have hands on experience in the industry and it ended up landing me my first job out of college with the same magazine. Attached is my first published piece during my internship. I also blogged for the magazine's web site during Fashion Week.
